So what does the title "Super Mom" entail anyway?? Is it the stay at home mom, or the full time working mom, or the aunt who is acting mom, or the grandma who is playing mom, etc.? I say ALL OF THE ABOVE!
I don't believe there is just one description for the super mom. I DO believe that every hard working mom out there has one thing in common..... the LOVE for their kids that drives them to work as hard as they do each and every single day. I DO believe that it goes without question that your kids come first. It's this commonality that all mother's have within them that creates the motive to be that super mom. Whether you're wiping butts, cleaning up spilled food, making numerous pick ups and drop offs all day OR making those drop offs in the morning to working all day, then to come home to your "other job", you do the best you can and THAT my beloved fellow mother makes you Super Mom! We're not all perfect, but really, who is?! When at the end of the day you can hear your children laughing, when you and your child learn from life, when your children can look at you and say "I love you mommy!", you have done your job.
So, when you wake up and look in the mirror and see eye bags, the messy mom bun, stained pj's from whatever it was the kids ate at dinner, smile and be proud because you ARE super mom!
HAPPY MOTHER'S DAY TO ALL YOU SUPER MOMMIES OUT THERE!
XOXO

A month gone by.....
Hello All!
As I sit here in monotony all these thoughts, ideas, memories, etc. flow rapidly through my mind. Sometimes I wonder if it's a form of adult ADD/ADHD. One thought in particular stuck out. It was a conversation I was having with my in-laws last night about how my eldest will be 9 this week. What a punch in the gut this thought was. Where have those 9 years gone?!?! and then I got flashes of the videos and pictures all saved onto my laptop, that we recently viewed. (I'm ready to boohoo)!! Then these thoughts led to thoughts of her future. What kind of teenager will she be, what kind of adult will she be, will she be good, will she have a good family, life... etc... (here comes the overload and I think I just want to take a loooooong nap). And then I brought it back to myself. What kind of morals have I taught her so far? Am I teaching her well? Is she learning anything valuable from me?
Which brings me to the following question: HOW do we teach our children, our future, how to be good adults? Sometimes I think we're doing a good job because she's such a sweet & sensitive person, and then I think well is she too sweet, too sensitive? How can I teach her some street smart as well? What advise can we give her daily that will help mold her into the great person I know she is? I guess that's the parent struggle.
"All we need is LOVE.." is that true? Is that all we really need? I think that even though love is truly important, VERY important, it takes a little more than that. I believe that if done each day these little treasures will HELP them grow up with good values which in turn will, hopefully, make good people.
-Give them a little piece of advice that will resonate with them throughout life, however little or big that advice may be, it will be useful one of these days
-Teach them good manners
-Hug them tightly even if they struggle to get away
-Tell your children you love them no matter what every single day
Add this to YOUR daily routine and we should have a world full of great people one day! =0)
and on top of all that....
HAPPY 9th BIRTHDAY to my first born MaioriRose! Mommy and daddy love you to the end of the universe and back. May your future hold many blessings and amazing experiences. To many many many many more my love!
